About Jane Zumbrunnen

She is a Native American (Micmac) basket maker, specializing in traditional and fancy brown ash and sweetgrass baskets. She is also the 1997 recipient of the Traditional Artists Apprenticeship Award from the Maine Arts Commission for her achievement as a Master Micmac basket maker.

ZUMBRUNNEN SQUARE BASKET $125

This beautiful vintage basket is the largest northeast woodlands Native American basket I have ever seen with lots of “porcupine twists” or “curly-ques”, and two handles! It is possibly Mi’kmaq and in excellent condition, early to mid 20th century.
